How to Keep Your Skin Moisturized

  1. Use an oil like coconut, olive, or vitamin E to apply to your dry skin, or use it as a weekly treatment to add moisture. Vitamin E is great for wrinkles, and can even be used as a hot oil treatment on your hair. Olive oil is highly moisturizing on hair and skin, but can also cause people to break out, so use it only as often as you need, and don’t overdo it! Coconut oil smells great and has multiple uses. It improves the appearance of nails, hair and skin, and can be a great oil to cook with in the kitchen. Reach for a virgin or extra virgin oil to get the best results from a beauty standpoint.
  2. Face masks are a great way to give your skin a boost of hydration, and are easy to mix together or buy from the store. They can target dry skin as well as acne-prone skin so find a mask that suits your needs, and apply it according to the directions on the package. To create your own moisturizing face mask, all you need is an egg!
    1. Before you get in the shower, separate the egg from the whites, and whisk the whites until you see small bubbles forming.
    2. Take both the egg whites and yolk into the shower with you, and cleanse your face with this daily face wash, then pat your skin completely dry on your neck and face.
    3. Now put the raw egg whites on your face, and let this become dry and tight on your face. It will take about 5 minutes to become fully tightened, and the longer you leave it on, the tighter it will become.
    4. Rinse your face and neck with warm water, and pat dry again.
    5. Now apply a layer of egg yolk to your face and wait another 5 minutes so that it has time to become tight as well.

This mask is great for oily skin, and can be used every day if desired.
If you have dry skin, you’ll want to only use this mask two or three times a week since it can cause your skin to become dryer due to tightening agents in the egg white.
