1500 kcal Diet Guidelines

Here are some general rules you should follow during your diet:

  • Consistency, patience and persistence are essential.
  • Commit to consuming 5-6 small meals a day.
  • Eat bigger meals earlier during the day and later, smaller ones.
  • The earlier you eat, the more carbohydrates (polysaccharides) you can consume. Later during the day, try to eat more protein.
  • Avoid monosaccharide - i.e. all kinds of sweets, big amounts of fruit, honey (it contains fructose) and disaccharides – sucrose (you can find it in sweets, some fruit juices, cereals etc.), as well as lactose in dairy products (eat them in the morning, to provide calcium and D, B12 vitamins etc.). This way you can limit the number of products that influence on the rapid insulin delivery and, at the same time, the fat accumulation.
  • Eat as many cooked meals as possible (dinner is obligatory) and drink warm low-calorie beverages. Warm or hot meals leave you full and satiated for a long time.
  • Make sure your diet contains proper amount of fiber, which leaves you full and cleans your digestion system. Use a variety of fruits, vegetables and wholemeal products in your nutrition plan.
  • Drink a lot of still mineral water, low or medium mineralized, as well as tea and herbal tea. They will help your body get rid of toxins, produced during digestion. Drinking big amounts of water will also weaken your hunger - a huge problem of the first stage of your diet.
  • Limit salt intake, as it may cause your body swelling, and as a result, deform your diet results. Low-salt diet will also help your kidneys. There is enough salt amount in all kinds of products you consume.
  • Cut down on consumption of saturated fat and use the unsaturated one instead such as olive oil or grapes seeds oil. Eat various kinds of seeds and nuts (which supply E vitamin) as well as various fish, which contain Omega-3 Fatty Acid- irreplaceable in the coronary diseases prevention. Do not quit fat entirely, as some amounts of fat is beneficial for your health and beauty, especially complexion.
  • Avoid frying food - this is the worst cooking method. Quit butter as well, because it absorbs fat like a sponge. Use baking, stewing, traditional or steam cooking in your kitchen instead. If you decide to fry your food - use a Teflon pan and the minimal amounts of some of the recommended fat above.
  • The last meal during the day should be eaten at about 6 p.m.
  • Eat your foods slower, take your time with every single bite. Your brain signalizes the feeling of satiation only after a couple of minutes.
  • Use small plates. Surprisingly, this trick works with many people. When you eat on a small plate you get the feeling that there is more food on it.
  • Do not weigh yourself everyday, so as not to get frustrated. There are usually about 2 kilos of a difference in the woman’s weight before and after period, and it does not mean you put on weight but signifies the changing water amount in your body. It is better to hide bathroom scales and check your weight once a week, or check your results by using a tape-measure. You can also use the so called "clothes test": try on some of your not-stretching clothes from tome to time, and it will show your real weight lost. This appears to be the more objective method.
