Essential Oils Recipes - Several Recipes

Eau de Parfum (with Alcohol)

  • 2.5 ml of Essential Oils
  • 2.5 ml of Alcohol (INCI: ethanol)
  • 2.5 ml of (not more) Distilled Water

Preparation:
Mix the oils in a glass bottle (not more than 2.5 ml), then slowly, a drop at a time put them into alcohol continuously stirring. Finally add the water (the mixture may become opaque, which depends on the type of oil). Put the bottle into a refrigerator (-18 Celsius degrees) for 24 hours. Next filter it or decant (don’t shake the bottle). Then leave it again for 2-4 weeks to let if fuse into one fragrance.

Perfume with alcohol is short-lasting but stronger and more intense.

Eau de Parfum (with Jojoba Oil)

  • 10 ml of Jojoba Oil
  • 10 drops of Ethereal Oils

Perfume with oil is dabbed on skin (behind the ears, on the neck or wrist). Jojoba oil is used because its long–lasting, odorless, well absorbed and doesn’t go rancid. Perfume with oil is "warmer" and lasts longer.

Simple Recipe with Oil (Exotic, Warm, Rose)

  • 3 drops of Ylang-Ylang Oil
  • 3 drops of Rose Oil
  • 3 drops of Sandalwood Oil
  • 1 drop of Petit Grain Clementine Oil

Preparation:
Mix the oils and add 10 ml of jojoba oil.

Bath Oil (Basic Recipe)

  • 80 ml of Botanical Oil (Jojoba, Almond, Peanut Oil or other)
  • 10 ml of Essential Oil (one or mixed)
  • 10 ml of Lecithin (herbal emulgent)

Preparation:
Put all into a dark glass bottle and mix thoroughly (might be left for a few days).

You will need 10 ml of oil for a full bath (35-38 Celsius degrees). With sensitive skin use less oil. Lecithin will help the oil dissolve in water instead of floating on the surface. It will also protect the skin from drying.

If we haven’t got any lecithin we can as well use plain bath foam which should be mixed with the carrier and essential oil before putting into the bath.

Under Eyes Oil for Mature, Dry Skin (for the Night)

  • 4 ml of Botanical Oil (Jojoba, Avocado, Almond or other)
  • 1 capsule of Vitamin E (in case of extremely dry, wrinkled skin use 2 vitamins E or 1E and 1A)
  • 2 drops of Lavender Oil
  • 2-3 drops of Carrot Sseeds Oil, Rosewood, Neroli or Palmaroza)
  • 1 drop of Lemon or Orange Oil

Preparation:
Mix all in a bottle.

Application:
Dab the oil onto the skin around the eyes and leave for 5 – 10 minutes. The excess oil may be removed with a tissue. This might be used also for the neck and face.

Mixed or normal skin types could use grape seeds oil as a carrier (cold pressed). Rinse with water if it gets to the eyes.

Face Oil (Basic Recipe)

  • 100 ml of Botanical Oil
  • 5-10 drops of Essentiall Oil (one or more)

Inhalations Oil (Basic Recipe)

  • 2 liters of Water
  • 1-2 drops of Essential Oil (one or more)

Body Care and Massage Oil (Basic Recipe)

  • 100 ml of Botanical Oil
  • 20 drops (0,7 ml) of Essential Oil
  • 3 capsules of Vitamin E (optionally)

Preparation:
Carrier oils can be mixed in various proportions (with a few exceptions). In my opinion, jojoba oil is absolutely essential. It is long – lasting and stays fresh for a long time.

Persons with less sensitive skin can use even 5 ml of essential oils for 100 ml of carrier oil.
